03/01/2010 - Christian Service Food Collection

The Saint Therese Christian Service Organization would appreciate help from all of our school families.  Please help us provide food baskets for the people in our community that need food for the Easter holiday.  So that we can provide a variety of foods, we are asking our students to bring the following:

Kindergarten:  Canned Meats (chicken, beef or tuna)

First Grade:  Spaghetti Sauce

Second Grade:  Box of Cereal

Third Grade: Canned Pork N Beans or Canned Chili

Fourth Grade:  Canned Fruit

Fifth Grade: Canned Pasta (ravioli, spaghetti-o's, etc.)

Sixth Grade:  Canned Soup

Seventh Grade: Boxed Pasta or Rice Mixes

Eighth Grade: Box of Cereal

02/18/2010 - 7th grade meeting

A 7th grade parent meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th  to discuss  the 8th grade graduation breakfast.  This is a tradition that has been kept at Saint Therese School for many years.  The 7th graders host the breakfast and serve the 8th grade parents and their graduates.  The breakfast is scheduled for Friday, June 11th after the 9:00 am First Grade Buddy Mass.




01/26/2010 - PARENT MEETING THIS THURSDAY - JANUARY 28

     Our next general parent meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, January 28. Please attend.  The meeting will be at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall.  (1) service hour will be given to the families that sign-in and attend the meeting. Father Jan will be at the meeting.

Come and celebrate with us for Catholic Schools Week!
January 31 - February 6

SUNDAY - Jan. 31
§ Catholic Schools Week begins with the students wearing their uniforms to the 9:00 am Mass at Saint Therese Church on Sunday.
§ The school will have an OPEN HOUSE following the 9:00 am Mass until 12 Noon. Your students will want to show their families their classrooms.
§ The Scholastic Book Fair Begins today and ends on Friday.

MONDAY - Feb. 1
§ Student Council has planned a PEP RALLY for Monday afternoon.
§ The Alhambra School District Reading Program starts today!

TUESDAY - Feb. 2

§ "Free" Dress Day
§ Extra recess
§ Hot Dog Lunch for all the students in appreciation for the Saint Therese Christian Service projects.
§ No Homework for any grade.

01/19/2010 - Parent Meeting rescheduled

The Parent Meeting scheduled for February 2nd has been postponed.




01/16/2010 - HATS for HAITI

The students will be having a fundraiser for HAITI.  The students may wear a hat on Friday, January 22, if they bring a $1.00 donation for the earthquake victims in Haiti.  The archdiocese has a donor who will match the archdiocesan donation up to $100,000!  Your donations will be doubled as part of this relief effort.

It seems that certain words that have double green lines under them will take you to a different site.  I have been working on the website pages.  Please know that we do not endorse the different products/schools/or other advertising that has now become a part of our website!  Mrs. Buckowski




01/14/2010 - Parent Meeting -February 2nd

There will be a parent meeting in the Parish Hall at 7:00 pm on February 2nd. We will be discussing fundraising opportunities and tuition concerns.  Please attend the meeting.  One service hour will be given and the children will be able to have Free Dress on February 3rd.




01/13/2010 - Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Saint Therese during our Catholic Schools Week.  Volunteers are needed to help sell the books and decorate the Science room.  Please call the school office if you are interested in helping with this event.




01/13/2010 - Recycling Event!

  Please bring your recycling to the Saint Therese Parking Lot on Saturday, January 30th, between 9:00 am - Noon. 




01/13/2010 - Silent Auction Meeting

There will be a meeting for the Silent Auction Committee in the Parish Hall on January 20th at 6:00 pm.  We will be assembling the Silent Auction Invitations!  Service hours are given for every meeting.




01/02/2010 - High School Recommendation Forms

High School Recommendation forms should be given to your teachers, principal and pastor as soon as possible.  Please provide a stamped envelope addressed to the high school with your forms.  Most schools need to have the forms completed by January 15th. 




12/17/2009 - Electronic Recycling Event

Electronic Recycling Event! Bring your electronic discards to the church parking lot on Saturday, December 19th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Please do not leave anything on the parking lot after 12:00 pm on Saturday.




12/02/2009 - CHRISTMAS VACATION

Saint Therese School will be closed for  Christmas Vacation on Friday, December 18th.  Day Care will not be available on December 17th to allow our Day Care Staff the opportunity to join us for our Staff Christmas Party.  December 17th is a Noon Dismissal Day.

12/01/2009 - FRESH & EASY

The Parent Council wants to thank all of our school families that helped at the Parish Festival.  Our next event is at FRESH & EASY. On December 9th, we will be needing volunteers to help collect receipts at the store between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.  We will receive 5% of the sale for each receipt that we collect.




11/17/2009 - 6:15 Mass on November 17th

Please join us tonight for a special Mass at 6:15 in celebration of Abraham's  continued healing.  The students have been asked to wear their school uniform or their cubscout uniform for this Mass.    The cub scouts will be serving refreshments in the parish hall after the Mass.
