Celebrating Our Faith

The Roman Catholic Faith is an important part of our daily curriculum. The faculty and students attend mass together once a week. Attending mass allows the students to be a participant while they are learning about the rich traditions of the Catholic Church.

Rituals are very important to children. The school celebrates a First Friday or a Holy Day with an All School Mass. All students and faculty attend the celebration. The class that is chosen to host the Mass will provide the theme, choose the songs for worship,  and be the lectors for the Mass. Parents are encouraged to attend our All School Masses as well as our various activities at the school.   The Mass Schedule for 2007 - 2008 is listed below.

Holy Thursday at 11:00 am   &  Good Friday at 11:00 am

The 6th,7th and 8th grade Religion programs will be focusing on community awareness, and duty; as distinguishing merits in their Catholic faith!

The 7th and 8th grade classes wish to thank all of those in our Parish Community who provided the many toys and blankets.  We are truly grateful for the many gifts you donated as we successfully completed a Toy Drive for the children of soldiers overseas, and a gently used blanket drive for those less fortunate in our community.

The Spring 8th grade/Student Council Car Wash is expected to be in late April, the date is yet to be determined!  The donations will go toward the renovation of the children's waiting room at the Alhambra Police Station.  We look forward to providing new audio/TV equipment as well as a wall mural for the Children's Room. Towels and clean rags will be appreciated for the use of the car wash.

The 6th grade is looking for ideas toward their Community Awareness project. If you have any suggestions, please see Mr. B. with details.

The 8th Grade is already preparing for the Holy Thursday/Good Friday Living Stations.  We look forward to your attendance in this moving rendition of the Passion of Christ.
