Dear K- Families,
Thank you for joining us for the Mother’s Day Celebration and May Crowning. It was nice to see you. Thank you to the parents that provided the Smart & Final scrip. We appreciated it. We will need more for the End of the Year Celebration. Please turn in all your service hour coupons so you can get credit. The Parent Appreciation Dinner is on May 30th for the parents that go above the required hours.
We will be designing our own Kindergarten memory shirt. The children will wear these shirt shirts at the End of the Year Celebration. Please return the order form with payment no later than May 21st.
We will be going on a field trip to the Art Armory on May 22nd. Please return the permission slip with $10.00. After the Art Armory we will go to Story park for lunch and free play. We will return to school by 2:00 pm.
At our End of the Year Celebration the children will perform, and then they will receive certificates for completing kindergarten. We will also honor the daddies on that occasion. There will be a sign up sheet soon as to what to bring and how you can help. Though this is an exciting milestone in your child’s life, please limit your guest list to immediate family & grandparents. It becomes overwhelming for the children, when we have too many people here. We will need everyone to plan on staying to help with the clean up.
Homework: Sorry about the mix up with the reading titles last week. The children are exchanging books today. We will continue with the shared reading until the end of the year.
Phonics: We did some pages in class today. Please continue with the following pages: 201, 202, 205, 206, 208, 210, 211, 212, 215, 216 & 217.
Reading: Penguins now have DREAM A STORY read pages 12-25 Listen to the Desert Dolphins now have TOO BIG read pages 12- 27 Who is Tapping at My Window?Math: review addition & subtraction
