Dear Parents,
Congratulations to our 2nd graders for receiving their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 3 in out parish church! Let us continue to pray for them for their spiritual growth. We would like to express our deep appreciation to everybody who made this event possible and beautiful for our children.
Please take note of the following:
1. On Monday, May 5th, the children will celebrate with their 7th grade buddies and special guests who have helped make their First Holy Communion a success. They will lead the assembly to a special prayer service of thanks. This will be followed by a beautiful Holy Communion Breakfast banquet. Our special thanks to our homeroom parents and to all the parents who have worked hard to give our children this beautiful breakfast.
2. Last week, our children received their first packet of work for the 4th quarter. Please go over the work with your child, sign the cover sheet, and return the entire packet of work to me.
3. The theme for this quarter is “Love of Country.” Only one project will be required to be done at home and that is the 15 Minute- Reading Activity. The form for the activity will be given this week.
We will inform you of class projects to carry out the theme as we go along.
4. Participation in the Science Fair will be optional. We will send you more details about it in my next newsletter. Mrs. Daad Jarrous, our 7th grade teacher who is in-charge of the event will soon send home a flyer detailing the event and the rules for participating in it.
Let us persevere in our endeavor to help our children continue to succeed in their studies in this final quarter!
Sincerely,
Mrs. V. Lawson
