Attending St. Therese School

 New Students

Priority at entrance is given to practicing, active, supportive Catholics of Saint Therese Parish.

Thereafter, preference is given in admission to those who have previously been in Catholic schools (and left those schools in good standing) and to Catholic students of other parishes.

Ordinarily, incoming students are academically tested for their expected grade level by their grade level teacher. Students may be accepted without testing if they are transferring from another Catholic School and have excellent grades and a letter from the Principal stating their reason for transferring to Saint Therese.  (i.e. moving from their Catholic School to Saint Therese because they have moved from a different city. )

Saint Therese School follows California State Mandated directives regarding immunization requirements.

Kindergarten Admission

Two factors determine the Kindergarten admission, following the priority status listed above:

  1. Student applicants must be 5 years of age by December 1st of the academic year for which they are applying.
  2. Student applicants must demonstrate that they are developmentally ready by completing a "Readiness Screening" conducted by the Kindergarten teacher.

Nondiscrimination Policy

Saint Therese School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, scholarships and loan programs, athletic and other school administered programs. Non- Catholic students are instructed in Religion as a subject and they are expected to participate in our religious services with their classmates.
